Lucas Herro of Onalaska, Wis., speaks to attendees at the Fort McCoy observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month on Oct. 22, 2015, at McCoy’s Community Club. Herro, a former firefighter and emergency medical technician, was injured and paralyzed from the chest down in a diving accident in 2012.
