The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is executing FEMA Mission Assignments following Hurricane Michael including one for Debris Technical Assistance and Route Clearance in Florida. In Snead today, crews were working to clear debris to make room to put poles back up to restore power. “We’re working with the power company here to clear rights of way so their crews can work to restore power to these communities here, replacing power poles and lines,” said Santiago Rosales who deployed to Florida from the Fort Worth District to help with storm response. “It’s rewarding work. We’re helping our communities, our fellow countrymen. I feel obligated to help and I want to set an example for my kids too.” (U.S. Army photo by Chris Gardner)
