Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a life-fire “deck shoot” to enhance their combat effectiveness and readiness aboard the flight deck of the USS Arlington (LPD-24) during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise in the Atlantic Ocean, Sept. 2, 2018. This training exercise enhances joint integration, lethality, and the collective capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
