U.S. Army soldiers, of Mortar Platoon, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, fire a 120 mm mortar round at a designated target during a live fire exercise at Contingency Operating Site Warhorse in the Diyala province, Sept. 17, 2011. The soldiers are demonstrating how to fire mortar rounds while Iraqi army soldiers observe so they can have a chance to launch rounds as well.
