    Fort McCoy observes National Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed Sept. 15-Oct. 15 annually. Sept. 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, according to www.hispanicheritagemonth.gov.
