Liberian President George Manneh Weah and Minister of Defense Daniel Ziankahn met with Major General Greg Vadnais, the adjutant general of the Michigan National Guard, September 28th, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. President Weah was given a tour of MING facilities and spoke with members of the Michigan National Guard. Liberia and Michigan were paired in 2009 under the National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program that seeks to strengthen democracy and security in emerging nations by sharing military-related best practices and building ally bonds among NATO members.
