EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 29, 2018) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Roderick Willis takes down and detains the “red man” aboard amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), after receiving a dose of oleoresin capsicum (OC) during an OC spray course in the hangar bay. The OC spray course is part of the security reaction force training that provides Sailors with training in non-lethal weapons, baton employment and close range subject control.
