The U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy hosted members of the Niger Army (Forces Armees Nigeriennes) Sept 28, 2018, Fort Jackson. During the visit Commandant, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael L. Berry and Deputy Commandant, Sgt. Maj. Deedra Perez briefed the soldiers on how Drill Sergeants are selected and trained at the Academy. The USADSA has graduated numerous Drill Sergeants of the Niger Army. By training together the U.S. military and its partner nations maintain communication and interoperability.
