Lance Cpl. Shakeel Bovell fires an M240B machine gun during a machine gun tactical proficiency range at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 25, 2018. The Marines completed Combat Marksmanship Program Tables 5 and 6, as well as a ballistic breaching course with M1014 shotguns and a machine gun course with M240B and M249 Squad Automatic Weapons to enhance their warfighting abilities on the battlefield. Combat engineers often augment infantry units during exercises and deployments, which requires tactical proficiency with multiple weapons systems.
