U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Justin Morales, with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, observes surveillance footage from a quadcopter during Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) training on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Sept. 19, 2018. This training certified the Marines to be SUAS operators. This increases the Marines’ situational awareness and enhances their ability to plan and adapt during missions.
