U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. David Stansell, with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, observes as the instructor teaches him how to do a proper functions check on a quadcopter during Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) training on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Sept. 19, 2018. This training certified the Marines to be SUAS operators. This enables Marines to collect reconnaissance and relay information to squads from a distance.
