(Sept. 19, 2018) Navy Medicine East (NME) held an Art Therapy session with staff to help defend against depression and suicidal ideation as part of Suicide Prevention Month Sept. 19. NME recognizes September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and remains committed to preventing suicide and increasing wellness among Navy and Marine, their families, and beneficiaries throughout the year. NME oversees the delivery of medical, dental and other health care services to approximately one million patients across almost 100 facilities-including the Tidewater Military Health System which brings together McDonald Army Health Center, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and U.S. Air Force Hospital Langley.
