PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 19, 2018) - Cpl. Dustin Johnson, from Liberty, Mississippi, attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Zika, a combat tracker dog, fast rope from the flight deck to the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) out of an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft assigned to the “Flying Tigers” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262, reinforced during a visit, board, search and seizure exercise. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st MEU, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
