VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 18, 2018) Chief Aviation Machinist’s Mate Carlos Edwards, from New York, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) air department, is rung into the Chiefs Mess after being pinned to the rank of chief petty officer. Thirty-six Ford Sailors were advanced to the rank of chief petty officer.
