The 78th Army Band members assigned to the Army Reserve's 99th Readiness Division play the Army song during the Northeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group Change of Command ceremony held Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at Fort Wadsworth, New York.
The Change of Command ceremony symbolizes the continuation of leadership and unit identity despite the change of individual authority. It also represents the transfer of power from one leader to another; passing the ceremonial flag from outgoing to incoming commander is a physical representation of that transfer.
