Alaska Air National Guardsmen from the 176th Wing’s 212th Rescue Squadron ready equipment inside an AKANG HC-130J Combat King II aircraft from the 211th RSQ during a flight from Naval Air Station Oceana, Va., to Kinston, N.C., Sept. 16, 2018, to assist in response to hurricane relief operations. The 212th pararescuemen are coordinating with local authorities to rescue isolated flood survivors and conducting site surveys for disaster relief centers via a California ANG 129th Rescue Wing HH-60 Pavehawk helicopter crewed by members of the ANG’s 210th RSQ.
