180916-N-VG727-1228 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 16, 2018) Chief Sonar Technician William Imfeld receives his chief collar devices during a chief pinning ceremony aboard the the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86). The ceremony is part of a long-standing tradition that honors and recognizes the years of hard work, service and leadership of dedicated Sailors in the Navy. Shoup is forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
