    Alexius Martin, 9, looks at the Distinguished Service Cross presented to her grandfather by Third Army/U.S. Army Central Commanding General, Lt. Gen. R. Steven Whitcomb, June 15, 2007, in Chatsworth, Ga. Alexius is the great-great-grandniece of Third Army World War II hero Pvt. Glenn Martin for whom the decoration was posthumously given. Alexius' father and Pvt. Martin's great-grandnephew is Staff Sgt. Mark Martin, a tank commander with the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, currently deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Alexius and her family are currently stationed at Fort Stewart, Ga.
