U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Sterling Grahm, 36th Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuel systems maintenance craftsman, helps Thinh Huu Nguyen, a fifth grader at Tien Tho Primary School, screw in a metal beam for a wall in Tien Tho commune, Tien Phuoc district, Vietnam, Sept. 15, 2018. The wall is one of ten construction projects at Tien Tho Primary School. PAC ANGEL 18-2 civil engineers were spread across eight sites and focused on repairing, refurbishing and upgrading existing rural medical and school facilities. Efforts undertaken during PAC ANGEL help the U.S. and partner nations improve and build relationships across a wide spectrum of civic engagements, which bolsters each nation’s capacity to respond and support future humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
