Two distinguished visitors visited the Idaho Army National Guard today. Mr. John Hastings, deputy assistant secretary of defense for readiness programming and resources, and Mr. Michael Mehrman, chief financial officer, Army National Guard, met with Brig. Gen. Farin Schwartz, assistant adjutant general-Army and commander of the Idaho National Guard and several senior leaders on Gowen Field and at the Orchard Combat Training Center to see firsthand the capabilities of the Idaho Army National Guard's training sites, school houses and equipment and to identify unit modernization challenges and strategy.
