Military police and other Marines and sailors acting as first responders stage mock casualties after having evacuated them from the scene of a notional explosion at Building 2601, an empty building being used to represent The Palms Club, during Mission Assurance Training Exercise 2011 on Camp Hansen Oct. 5. Once all mock casualties had been removed from the building, they were then moved from the initial staging area to a more secure location for first-aid treatment. In a real-world situation, the injured would then be transported to U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa on Camp Lester for treatment as soon as possible.
