PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 12, 2018) - An MV-22 Osprey assigned to the "Flying Tigers" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 takes off from the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during flight operations. Sailors and Marines from Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit team are providing Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and working with Guam and Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands' civil and local officials for Typhoon Mangkhut recovery efforts.
