U.S. Soldiers assigned to 218th Brigade Support Battalion, South Carolina Army National Guard, from Orangeburg, S.C., pick up cots and blankets for the American Red Cross, the cots and blankets were transported to shelters around the state for people evacuating from Hurricane Florence, Sept. 13, 2018. Approximately 2,600 Soldiers and Airmen have been mobilized to prepare, respond and participate in recovery efforts as forecasters project Hurricane Florence will increase in strength with potential to be a Category 4 storm and a projected path to make landfall near the Carolinas and east coast.
