S.C. Army National Guard Soldiers and fire department/EMS rescuers with the S.C. Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (SC-HART) program, S.C. Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1 (SC-TF1), deploy from McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C. to head to Charleston, S.C., in preparation to support and safeguard the citizens of the state in advance of Hurricane Florence, September 13, 2018. Approximately 2,600 Soldiers and Airmen have been mobilized to prepare, respond and participate in recovery efforts as forecasters project Hurricane Florence will increase in strength with potential to be a Category 4 storm and a projected path to make landfall near the Carolinas and east coast.
