Amy and Eric House, wife and son of the late U.S. Marine Corps Capt. John A. House II, stand by as his remains are loaded into a hearse during a chain of custody ceremony held at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 13, 2018. House went missing in action June 30, 1967, when his helicopter went down during a reconnaissance mission over South Vietnam. House’s remains will be transported to Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, where he will be buried with full military honors. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
