The U.S. Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher gets a briefing by Brigadier General Todd, USAREUR commanding general, in Powidz, Poland, September 12, 2018. The new ambassador was informed on the plans for new development on the air field and the purpose of U.S. forces placement in the region.
U.S. and NATO military planners determined that the U.S. could best complement and reinforce NATO’s current posture in Europe by stationing its enhanced Forward Presence battle group in Poland.
