A B-29 Superfortress, known as Doc, is taxied onto the airfield in preparation for the Frontiers in Flight Open House and Air Show Sept. 6, 2018, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. After World War II, Doc was decommissioned and used as a ballistic target at a Navy weapons range. An aircraft enthusiast bought the aircraft and it flew its first flight after the war in 2016.
