Lt. Damien Horvath of Naval History and Heritage Command’s Navy Week Cleveland outreach team, presents a Vietnam War Service pin to retired Radarman 2nd Class Joe Muharsky. Smith served in the Navy during the Vietnam War as an M-60 bow gunner on Fast Patrol Craft (PCF) 94. The pin commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and is presented as a thank you to those who served during the conflict. The Navy Office of Community Outreach’s Navy Week program brings American Sailors, equipment and displays to approximately 15 American cities each year for a week-long schedule of outreach engagements designed for Americans to experience firsthand how the U.S. Navy is the Navy the nation needs.
