The crew of a Coast Guard Boat Station San Juan 33-foot Special Purpose Craft -- Law Enforcement rescued a man and a woman from the water Sept. 2, 2018, after they were forced to abandon their kayak when it started taking on water. The Coast Guard boat crew rescued the distressed kayakers in good health and transferred them to Puerto Rico Police Joint Forces of Rapid Action agents in Ceiba to receive further assistance.
