O’Toole, Department of Defense director, civil-military programs, cut a ceremonial ribbon during a grand opening ceremony for Starbase Idaho at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho on Aug. 31, 2018. The program is a cooperative partnership between local school districts and the Department of Defense allowing students opportunities to explore more education in science, technology, and math.
