U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Forrest Rolfson is a deployed aircraft ground response element team lead with the 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron training for the Defender Challenge, at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Aug. 29, 2018. Fourteen security forces teams from U.S. Air Force Major Commands, Great Britain and Germany, will participate in the Defender Challenge in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 10 - 14. The Defender Challenge returns after a 14-year hiatus, where teams compete against each other in realistic weapon scenarios, simulated dismounted operations and combat endurance events.
