Dr. Bernard Harris, CEO, National Math and Science Initiative, provides remarks August 28, 2018 inside an aircraft hangar at Offutt AFB, Nebraska during an event celebrating a more than $1 million investment by the U.S. Department of Defense to STEM education in the Bellevue Public Schools system, which is the nearest community to Offutt AFB. The award is part of the National Math and Science Initiative that promotes STEM education at more than 200 U.S. schools that have significant enrollment among military-connected students.
