Shank with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, plays a game of Spades with his Marines Aug. 20, 2018, during Marine Rotational Force – Darwin’s Exercise Koolendong at Mount Bundey Training Area, Australia. Fox Co was preparing for a night raid to seize a Military Operations on Urban Terrain town. Ex Koolendong enabled U.S. Marines to more effectively train and operate with Australian and French partners, enhances regional security, and build capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout the region.
