(August 21, 2018) Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic employee Fred Bisel, a scientist and Cisco Academy expert instructor teaches students in the Cyber Education and Certification Readiness Facility (CERF) Lab. SSC Atlantic’s CERF Lab is a collaborative training environment that provides fast-paced, hands-on, in-house training on cyber, networks, routing and operating systems for job enhancement and to prepare for various IT certification exams. Instructors (internal and external) are experienced and certified and use current vendor and in-house-developed curricula in the lab to build a more technically proficient workforce. SSC Atlantic develops, acquires and provides life cycle support for command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, information technology and space capabilities. A leading-edge Navy engineering center, SSC Atlantic designs, builds, tests, fields and supports many of the finest frontline C4ISR systems in use today, and those being planned for the future.
