VARNA, Bulgaria (Aug. 27, 2018) Civil service mariner Christian Fitzgerald monitors the mooring of the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Carson City (T-EPF 7) to a pier after arriving in Varna, Bulgaria, Aug. 27, 2018. Carson City is the seventh of nine expeditionary fast transport ships in Military Sealift Command's inventory with a primary mission of providing rapid transport of military equipment and personnel in theater via its 20,000 square foot reconfigurable mission bay area and seating for 312 passengers.
