180822-N-NT795-235 CORONADO, Calif., (August 22, 2018) Senior Chief Master-At-Arms John Urias, senior enlisted leader assigned to Coastal Riverine Group (CRG) 1 conducted safety check on personal floatation device during Chief Selectees water confidence and survival training as part of Chief Petty Officer (CPO) initiation onboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. CPO initiation is a professional education and training environment that starts when the announcement message is released, and time-honored tradition focused on the team/individuals as leaders of integrity, accountability, initiative and toughness. CRG provides a core capability to defend designated high value assets throughout the green and blue-water environment and providing deployable AFP worldwide in an integrated, joint and combined theater of operations.
