Maj. Gen. David N. Blackledge addresses a delegation of Congressional staff members at the U.S. Army Reserve Command headquarters at Fort Bragg, N.C., on Sept. 28, 2011. Blackledge, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) lead the group through Pineland, a simulated forward operating base and village in which civil affairs soldiers undergo their final qualification before becoming members of the civil affairs community and is now addressing the unique operations and obstacles facing his command. The group is visiting Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall during “Army Reserve Day” to get a better idea of the training and the challenges, the Army Reserve, the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) and the Special Warfare Center & School face on a daily basis.
