    Fort McCoy supports National Night Out event

    A child is fingerprinted at the request of his parents at the Operation Family Safe booth organized by the Fort McCoy (Wis.) Directorate of Emergency Services on Aug. 7, 2018, as part of a National Night Out event in Tomah, Wis. Hundreds of people attended the event, which was held at Tomah’s Winnebago Park. Operation Family Safe provides free identification cards for children. Introduced in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out is a nonprofit crime-prevention organization that works in cooperation with thousands of crime-watch groups and law-enforcement agencies throughout the country.
