U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Quality Assurance receive a safety brief before heading out to inspect generators installed across the island, August 11, 2018.
FEMA assigned USACE the Temporary Emergency Power Planning and Response mission to assist with assessments, maintenance, and generator installations at critical facilities, including, but not limited to: hospitals, wastewater treatment plants, water purification facilities, fire, and police stations. USACE has received $676 million to date for this mission.
