U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Ryan Evans, Pacific Angel 18-4 mission commander from the 713th Combat Operation Squadron from Beale Air Force Base, Calif., thanks all the participants from the contingency response working group for their dedication and involvement during Pacific Angel (PAC ANGEL) 18-4, at Sri Lanka air force base in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka, Aug. 10, 2018. The working group focused on security, logistics, and airfield management in the event of a crisis. Efforts undertaken during PAC ANGELs help multilateral militaries in the Indo-Pacific improve and build relationships across a wide spectrum of civic engagements, which bolsters each nation’s capacity to respond and support future humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
