ROGERS CITY, Mich. – Army Spc. Jacob Jensen and Army Sgt. Jarrod Hogan, medics of the 134th Medical Company, Johnston, Iowa, prepare an ambulance capable of transporting four litters at the Carmeuse Calcite Quarry on Aug. 7, 2018. The quarry was the site of joint tactical and combat training exercises, part of Exercise Northern Strike 18 taking place in Northern Michigan this month. Northern Strike is a National Guard Bureau-sponsored exercise uniting approximately 5,000 Army, Air Force, Marine, and international service members from 20 states and eight coalition countries this month at multiple training sites in Northern Michigan.
