180806-N-RE636-0003 IWAKUNI, Japan (August 6, 2018) Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Vice Adm. DeWolfe Miller presents Marine Cpl. Alisher Tanimura, from Balitmore, the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) Excellence Award during a Boots on the Ground event at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni. Tanimura was recognized for his contributions to Naval Aviation and for serving as a positive example of Enterprise behavior. Boots on the Ground program’s goal is to resolve interdependent Naval Aviation issues by conducting site visits to Navy/Marine Corps aviation sites, aircraft carriers and L-class ships.
