ALPENA, Mich. — Chief Warrant Officer 3 Joshua Schilling, a pilot with 2nd Battalion, 238th General Support Aviation Regiment, A Company, Aurora, Colo., performs preflight checks on a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during Northern Strike 18 on Aug. 6, 2018. Schilling's unit is participating in Northern Strike 18, a National Guard Bureau-sponsored exercise uniting approximately 5,000 Army, Air Force, Marine and coalition partner service members from 20 states and eight coalition countries this month at multiple training sites in Northern Michigan.
