ALPENA, Mich. —Staff Sgt. Nicholas Morris, a maintainer with the 127th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., performs preflight checks on an A-10 Thunderbolt II, also from Selfridge, at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, while in level two mission oriented protective posture, during an operational readiness assessment on Aug. 1, 2018.
