Capt. Jon Cael, a pilot from the 141st Air Refueling Wing, chats with the co-pilot as the tanker passes by Mt. Rainier during Aerospace Control Alert CrossTell training exercise July 24, 2018. The tanker flew to western Oregon to support F-16 Fighting Falcons and F-15 Eagles participating in the exercise. CrossTell is a three-day exercise involving multiple Air National Guard units, the Civil Air Patrol, and U.S. Coast Guard rotary-wing air intercept units to conduct training scenarios to replicate airborne intercepts designed to safely escort violators out of restricted airspace.
