Volunteers prepare breakfast for veterans, volunteers and invited guests during the first day of the first Orange County Stand Down taking place on the grounds of Santa Ana College in Santa Ana, Calif., Sept. 17-18. The two-day event aims to provide basic human services to homeless and at-risk veterans and their families including medical, dental and vision exams, counseling and access to Department of Veterans Affairs personnel and other resources on-site.
