1st Lt. Joel Perlinger, a pilot from the 15th Airlift Squadron, lowers the crew entry door of a C-17 Globemaster III July 11, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 15th Airlift Squadron, "Global Eagles", provides air refueling, combat-ready C-17 aircrews for strategic airlift missions worldwide. The 15th AS also maintains a Joint Chief of Staff-directed alert force which supports global contingencies including support of unconventional warfare.
