(July 13, 2018) The graduates for the International Surface Warfare Officers School (ISWOS) Department Head and Division Officers Course congratulate one another following the conclusion of their graduation ceremony held at the Adm. Michael G. Mullen Auditorium, July 13. Fifteen officers representing 10 nations successfully completed the course designed to prepare junior officers to execute watch station duties aboard surface warfare craft and ships by providing fleet oriented training. Headquartered in Newport and overseeing nine learning site worldwide, SWOS readies sea-bound Sailors to serve on surface combatants as officers, enlisted engineers, and enlisted navigation professional to fulfill the Navy’s mission to maintain global maritime superiority.
