Marine Corps Capt. Jared Sprunk commands the troops during a Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command hosts an arrival ceremony to honor fallen U.S. personnel whose identifies remain unknown. The remains receiving full military honors represent losses associated with the Vietnam War and will be transported to the Central Identification Laboratory to undergo analyses. Sprunk, a native of Port Charlotte, Fla., is assigned as the operations officer for Headquarters Service Battalion at Marine Forces Pacific, Hawaii. The ultimate goal of JPAC, and of the agencies involved in returning America's heroes home, is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of Americans lost during the nation's past conflicts.
