KING GEORGE. Va. (June 29, 2018) - Middle school students stand in front of an F-18 used as a ground plane for testing and evaluating the hazards of electromagnetic radiation to ordnance at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Environmental Effects test site. The students toured NSWCDD in conjunction with their academy activities at the 2018 STEM Summer Academy. They saw the real-world applications during their tour that also featured the electromagnetic railgun, laser lethality laboratory, Potomac River Test Range, and vehicle integration technologies.
